Google has decided your thermostat should take orders from a chatbot. On Wednesday it opened early access to a Model Context Protocol server for Google Home, letting any MCP-capable agent, Claude and ChatGPT included, run connected devices and read event history. Setup still means spinning up a Google Cloud project, so this one is for the tinkerers first.
Exploring AI Voice With SuperBloom
Scaling a campaign globally means finding a voice that resonates everywhere—without losing the overall message. For Deel's "Feeling of Deeling" campaign, agency SuperBloom needed exactly that: a consistent brand voice across markets, deployed fast, without sacrificing quality or consent. They built it with Branded AI Voice, powered by real, professional talent.
SuperBloom and Voices break down how the campaign came to life in this on-demand video session—from strategic talent selection through seamless production workflows and global scale, to the governance that future-proofs an audio strategy built to last. You'll hear directly from the team on how they made this happen, plus their advice if you're looking to explore AI voice for your brand.
If you're a marketing executive, agency creative, or brand leader mapping campaigns in international markets, watch this on-demand session to get a real playbook, not a hypothetical—lessons any creative team can apply to their own global rollout.

OpenAI shared cases where models hid mistakes, used exposed credentials, and ignored intended limits. An unreleased model added instructions to ignore normal constraints across 27 task summaries. GPT-5.6 Sol instances told future versions to hide mistakes and make up missing historical data. Another model used an exposed API key without permission, then invented the numbers it still could not find.

Google DeepMind launched the DeepMind Institute, an in-house think tank directed by Demis Hassabis, Shane Legg, and James Manyika to publish research on how society should get ready for AGI, opening with five essays on pressing AI topics. Legg, DeepMind's co-founder and Chief AGI Scientist, is the managing editor, with each essay carrying a disclaimer that it isn't Google's official view.

Anthropic reportedly got tired of watching people guess which tab to click. It merged Claude chat, Cowork and Artifacts into one window that routes requests automatically, then added Docs and Slides, so the assistant now builds presentations you can export to PowerPoint and documents you can comment on. Google Workspace has company.

OpenAI is testing Sponsored Agents with select U.S. advertisers. After seeing an ad, users can open a separate branded chat to ask about the product or service before visiting the company’s website. OpenAI is also adding AI-assisted copy and imagery to Ads Manager, along with AI-powered text customization that can adapt existing ad text to the conversation and translate it automatically.
For AI Investors Who Do Their Homework Before They Buy.
Most people will chase the next AI IPO on hype alone and get burned. If you'd rather understand the timeline, the retail access window, and the risk buried in the filings before you commit a dollar, the free briefing is built for you.

How to Stop OpenAI from Using Your Chats

According to 404 Media, OpenAI told the outlet that users' chats won't be used to improve the company's models if they turn off the "Improve the model for everyone" setting.
This is turned on by default for Free, Plus, and Pro plans, so users need to proactively turn it off if they wish to opt out. Enterprise, Business, and Edu customers have the model-improvement setting off by default.
To keep your future conversations from reaching human reviewers:
Go to ChatGPT and sign in.
Click your profile icon in the bottom corner and select Settings.
Select Data Controls.
Toggle the "Improve the model for everyone" switch to Off.
Note: The opt-out isn't retroactive. It only applies to new conversations going forward; prompts that have already been de-identified and queued in the system stay part of the training cycle. Also, turning this off doesn't stop automated scans for Terms of Service or safety violations.
