Meta just introduced v2 of its Brain2Qwerty non-invasive brain-scanning system, reading full words and their meanings instead of v1’s single characters — with its accuracy nearing results that once required surgical implants. Nine volunteers sat 10 hours inside a brain scanner and typed while the system read along, producing nearly 22,000 sentences of data.

What’s next is almost here.

On July 16th at 1PM ET, beehiiv is going live with a look at the future of publishing, audience growth, and digital business.

What started as a newsletter platform has evolved into something much bigger: a place where creators and brands can grow, monetize, and own their audiences without stitching together half the internet to make it work.

The next chapter starts live at the Summer Release Event

AI leaderboard provider Arena, which originated as a UC Berkeley research project in 2023, has reached $100 million in annualized run-rate revenue just eight months after launching its commercial service. Arena’s best known for its crowdsourced AI model performance leaderboard, generated from over 10 million user evaluations.

Starting today, all eligible users in the U.S. can access Google’s personalized Nano Banana-powered image generation feature for free via the Gemini app. Gemini’s Personal Intelligence feature got access to Nano Banana-powered generation back in April, allowing users to create images based on Gemini’s understanding of their likes and preferences without having to specify them in the prompt

Cursor brought its agentic coding platform to the iPhone and iPad through a new app, letting users kick off agents or take over those running on their PC from anywhere, shifting development from working at a desk to supervision on the go. Users pick a model, start an agent by voice or slash command, and run it on Cursor's cloud or their own machine, with the ability to move between the two.

Amazon has restructured its partnership with Anthropic, moving from compute-hour billing to a token-based pricing model for the AI startup's large language models starting next year. The Information reports the change could raise Amazon's costs for Claude, though Amazon disputes that characterization.

  2. Make sure you've given Gemini permission to access your Gmail and Calendar (Settings > Personal Intelligence > Connected Apps).

  3. Ask it to find your flight info: "Find my flight to Portugal."

  4. Then ask it: "Make a jet lag-proof schedule for this trip."

  1. You can then ask it to add everything to your calendar: "Put this on my calendar."
